Steady, Steady, Steady, Uh Oh

Apple Forest: Uh Oh --- The NuSkin on the tallest apple tree seemed to have helped a bit, even to the point of allowing the tree to sprout new leaves, but the assault by wee beasties continues. The future looks dire. Affected leaves were removed, the two primary leaves were left on for photosynthetic reasons, and a tiny new leaf seems willing to try. The other four trees in the apple forest seem to be holding their own, and all were doused with beer in an attempt to thwart the wee beasties.

Cherry Forest: There is a single small sprout, but it is likely a volunteer and not a mighty cherry tree. It is allowed to progress ... for now.

Peach Forest: Steady --- Peachys One, Two, and Three are all doing well. It is now clear that Peachy One, the first to sprout (foreground), has been passed in height by both Peachys Two and Three.

Sycamore Forest #1: Steady --- All is well. The interloper pine is putting out new needles. Should it be allowed to progress? Readers, let Toddy know what you think.

Sycamore Forest #2: Steady (enough) --- The 12 giants of two weeks ago were whittled to eight contenders last week. Like characters in an Agatha Christie novel (or a typical sci-fi movie), the contender pool is whittled again, to seven, including the Three Sycateers.
