Pass the Gin!

Apple Forest: The largest apple tree was found nearly snapped over. Evil wee beasties (see below) seem to be the culprits. However, they didn't completely sever the trunk, so patching was attempted. A goo known as NuSkin (one of those freebies put in the goodie bags at marathons) was spread over the massive trunk and the tree splinted on both sides. Nonetheless, we are greatly worried for the tallest apple tree. The other trees in the apple forest seem to be untainted, at least for the moment ...

Cherry Forest: All is still quiet. Most hope is lost.

Peach Forest: Peachy One, Peachy Two, and Peachy Three continue to climb skyward. Musings begin about transplantation. Interested parties are encouraged to contact Toddy Sycamoreseed.

Sycamore Forest #1: Sycadee and Sycadum are doing well. One of their three friends (center) seems to be bifurcating in a curious way.

Sycamore Forest #2: The dozen giants in the second sycamore forest have been whittled to eight. A few of those seem to be on the edge, but the Three Sycateers (center) are holding off all threats for now.

Wee Beastie War: Friend Mark, visiting from Arizona, has joined the fight against the wee beasties. Found cowering, but covering the tallest apple tree, the little bastards were doused with the handiest available toxin. One by one they were individually Q-tipped and given a gin swim.
