A Forest of Forests At the Ides of April

Apple Forest: Suspicious sprouts that have been observed for a few weeks are leafing in ways that don't mimic control samples of volunteers found elsewhere in the yard. Hmmmm ...

Cherry Forest: All is quiet.

Peach Forest: One dark night, a peach tree pit exploded with a mighty crack and out leapt a wee peach tree. A matter of days later, a second peach tree tosses off its pit hull and says, "Wait for ME!"

Sycamore Forest #1: The twins, Sycadee and Sycadum, create their own massive forest on one side of the pot, while three others keep their distance. Both of the giants are spitting out what appear to be real first leaves. A somber dirge is sung for one of the Sycamore Six, as only five remain. A moment of silence, please.

Sycamore Forest #2: A second sycamore forest is begun. It includes seeds recycled from the indoor planting in which seeds perhaps missed their outdoor ice-bonding time in the frigid Atlanta winter, as well as some seeds from two new magic sycamore seed balls.

Forest of Forests: The collection of five small pots (and friends) is shown in its entirety. The Sycamore Forests are enclosed in protective screening, while the Apple, Cherry, and Peach Forests are currently left to fend for themselves against the vicious elements. Possible expanded real estate ventures begin to be considered. Would our foresty friends do well in Tahiti?
