GSU is now an official partner in the Astrophysical Research Consortium and owns a dedicated share of observing time on the Apache Point Observatory 3.5-meter telescope.

Astronomers have discovered three Earth-sized planets orbiting a nearby star as part of the Kepler Space Telescope's K2 mission. This research was led by University of Arizona's Dr. Ian Crossfield with contribution from Georgia State's Dr. Sebastien Lepine.
